I was finally able to get winclone to image. I have restored. When I boot my restored bootcamp it automatically does a window disk check then shuts down. I have to then start up again, I get the black windows xp screen and then the blue windows screen and then the desk top loads, however, none of my desk top files are there and as I move my cursor around I can't see the start bar. I tried control, alt, delete and nothing happens, all I have is the desk top picture, not very useful.
Please provide kindergarden steps especially when discussing commands.
I just deleted my bootcamp partition and recreated it. I notice on the Start Windows Installation box in Boot Camp Assistant (which I quit and install later, because I'm using Winclone) Says: "You'll need an authentic install disc for Windows 7."
Here is the problem. On my old hard drive I was using Snow Leopard on my mac and Windows XP on the Boot Camp Partition. Same scenario on my new hard drive, why is the Boot Camp Assistant now requiring Windows 7?
Is this why I can't see any of my files or the start bar?
Well I took out the new hard drive and reinstalled my old hard for the third time. I'm going to wipe the new hard drive clean again. And start all over. I'll let you know how it goes.
Tim, if you could offer some advice I'd be most grateful.
