ERROR: Could not create image file.
  • Please help.

ERROR: Could not create image file. Error Message: The file "WindowsBootcampClone.winclone" couldn't be saved in folder "Desktop".

I took today off to get the one thing done, if anyone could reply with clear simple nontechie instructions I'd be most appreciative.

    Kind regards,
    lisa
  • Well I restarted my mac and then tried again and this time I didn't get an error. I was able to image my bootcamp on my old hard drive (saving the image file on my new hard drive on the mac partition) and then restored the image into bootcamp on my new hard drive, it appeared all worked well. When I boot from my new hard drive into bootcamp all loads fine to the Windows XP screen, but that is all I see just the lovely hillside and the sky. When I move my cursor to bring up the start bar there is nothing. None of my files saved on my desktop are showing either. Ugh, if its not one thing its another. Please help
  • It sounds like it imaged correctly, though I am not sure why items would not be showing up on your desktop. Do you still have both hard drives connected?
